Some of you know and others that don't...I was a victim of Domestic Violence. My SIL steered me towards a food blog written by a lawyer that works with DV victims. Visit this blog to see what she's doing.
October is Domestic Violence awareness month. Hmm...I think I may have to change my colors (again) to purple. ;-)
thanks for visiting my blog and giving my event a shout out! i appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteI can sympathize to a small degree. I was YOUNG, and thankfully didn't marry the jerk, but nonetheless, it did make an impact on my life. Even now as a 30 something year old woman, I cringe at the thought of this man. But with age comes wisdom, and fighting skills....oh and REALLY good aim. ;0) I've learned a thing or two, and am blessed beyond belief to have found the man that God wanted me to marry.
ReplyDeleteThank you for that reminder that I am a STRONG, Godly woman and no one will ever hit me again. Thank GOD, you found that blog!
I grew up in domestic violence. I'm so grateful God has allowed me to break the cycle with my children. No one escapes without scars (inside or out), but Praise God you're alive and well to help others. Blessings & (((Hugs))), Whitney
